Advancing Tobacco Tax Policy and Price Measures: Lessons from Sri Lanka

We are pleased to announce an upcoming regional webinar, “Advancing Tobacco Tax Policy and Price Measures: Lessons from Sri Lanka,” to be held on 25 August.

The webinar is organizing by the Bureau of Economic Research (BER), University of Dhaka, and the Bangladesh Network for Tobacco Tax Policy (BNTTP). It is a great pleasure for Take Turn Foundation to partner in this important initiative and contribute to strengthening regional collaboration through the sharing of Sri Lanka’s experiences and best practices in tobacco control.

The webinar will bring together academic experts, researchers, and civil society practitioners to explore key areas of tobacco taxation and price policy. Verité Research will provide insights into Sri Lanka’s tobacco tax policy and price measures, while Take Turn Foundation will focus on the advocacy pathway, industry interference, and the critical role of civil society in supporting progress towards WHO-recommended tobacco taxation levels.

Together, we can strengthen regional collaboration and advance tobacco tax policies that protect public health.
