We believe that sustainable change begins within communities. By facilitating meaningful dialogue and collaborative action, we empower communities to address their everyday social and environmental challenges with long-term solutions.

Our approach centers on fostering resilience and inclusivity. We support vulnerable groups in tackling issues such as substance abuse (alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs), waste management, and social cohesion while also addressing broader systemic concerns like climate change and gendered inequalities.

Climate change increasingly affects marginalized communities, exacerbating economic hardships, food insecurity, and displacement. We work with communities to develop adaptive strategies that enhance environmental sustainability, promote responsible resource management, and build climate resilience.

Recognizing the gendered implications of social and environmental issues, we advocate for inclusive solutions that empower women and marginalized groups. From promoting equal participation in decision-making to addressing the unique vulnerabilities they face—whether in access to resources, livelihood opportunities, or protection from violence—we ensure that our interventions foster equity and social justice.

Through participatory engagement, capacity-building, and advocacy, we help communities transform challenges into opportunities for a healthier, more sustainable, and inclusive future.

Social Behaviour Change Communication

At Take Turn, we recognize that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires a fundamental shift in social behaviors—from the individual level to the broader community and policy landscape. Our focus is on facilitating this transformation through strategic communication, advocacy, and community engagement.

Social behavior change is a gradual process that demands awareness, participation, and sustained effort. We work to enhance community preparedness for SDG adaptation, bridging the gap between global commitments and local action. To drive this change effectively, we utilize a multi-dimensional communication strategy that leverages new media, conventional media, and traditional / nontraditional advocacy methods. From digital platforms and social networks to print, radio, and television, we ensure that our messaging reaches diverse audiences. Additionally, we engage in grassroots advocacy through community dialogues, workshops, storytelling, and cultural expressions to create deeper, lasting impacts.

Every person and community has a role to play in upholding the principles of the SDGs. Through these targeted interventions, we help individuals recognize the impact of their actions, inspiring long-term behavioral shifts that drive meaningful progress.
